Millie's stats at ONE!

Millie had her well-baby appointment last Thursday morning. Poor thing had to have 4 shots in her legs and 4 pricks to the same middle finger. She was exhausted and so was I after we left there. She did amazingly well though. She only cried during the shots. Of course, getting her first lollipop helped cheer her up rather quickly. She had the most horrible reaction of a fever and rashes a few days later hence the late post. We've gotten over that now, thank the Lord!
She weighs 18lbs, 3oz and is 29.5" log (70th %). Head is 17.5" (30th %). So she's a long and lean, tiny tot. I started her on whole milk last month and even though, she will only take a couple of swigs each sitting, we're gonna keep going with it to make sure she gets the nutrients she needs to add some fat on her skinny self. Because she's 10th percentile in weight, dr wants to see her again in about a month. The really good thing is that she's tripled her birth weight which is normal.
She's had lots of new tricks during her 11th month:
-she hugs
-she intentionally puts objects back in baskets or in close vicinity
-she stands without support but hasn't gotten herself up from sit to stand yet
-she stretches to get from one piece of furniture or toy to the other so she's becoming a lot more daring upright.
-she brushes her hair and can show you where her hair is
-walks with one hand held
-can eat a handful of goldfish all at one time
-looks for food she's accidentally dropped and then will pick it back up and eat it
-spits food out which is really handy when she's put a leaf or something gross in her mouth. She'll show me, so I can take it out.
-dislikes milk after about 2 sips, but loves loves loves yogurt, cheese and ice cream
-holds the bath cup to drink the water, yum!
-puts her face under the water to kiss her bath toys
-feeds others food she doesn't like (ie veggies)
-can make sounds like an Indian (that's the only way I can describe it)
And just recently she'll play like she's blowing kisses but she's really playing peek-a-boo but wants to still see you so she doesn't cover her eyes, just her mouth. Too cute.

Oh she is so cute. Matt was over the 100% in height and was in the 10% in weight for height forever. So she sounds normal for a Morris. I am sure Brooke you were the same. She is so happy too. Great Jon!!

David and I bought her a tent and it should come to your house soon. It will be great anywhere, outside, inside or where ever. Maybe we can get her out of the dog house. Haha

I love reading the "list" updates. So informative and surprisingly funny:) She is adorable, I can't believe she's 1! I still have a pic of her on our fridge when we visited when she was just a couple months old! She's grown so much!
