Wave to the camera, Millie!

Millie said hello to the high chair this week. I figured since she's going to be spending a lot of time in it in the imminent future, then she might as well get used to it. As you can tell, she likes it. Well, she pretty much likes anything with easy access to her toys.

She's becoming real cozy with Bella too. The two of them like to nap together. Bella wants to be anywhere she is. Bella follows us around everywhere!

Millie really likes to sit in her boppy pillow. She's got these socks she wears that have a cow and a sheep at the tips of them. She'll grab at those and drool the whole time. Then she'll lean over and chill out for a little bit. We have to keep the tv off because she'll lounge back and watch it.

We love her. When she's sleeping at night, Matt and I stare at the pictures we've taken of her. We just can't get enough of our little girl.

Millie will be starting on solid food soon, but in the meantime, we introduced her to ice. Watch this hilarious video!

Millie at 4 months

It's a fact. Millie is gaining roughly an ounce a day!!! At her doctor's appointment on Wednesday, she weighed in at 13 lbs, 8 ounces. That's nearly 4 pounds more than she weighed at 2 months old. She's 25.6" long... 6" longer since her birth day. Good thing we stop growing taller as adults. We'd all be giants! The doctor did ask how tall her daddy was and noted that she'd grow to be a pretty tall girl herself.

Sadly she did have to get 3 more shots. Poor thing. She took them like a champ, though. As her mommy, I wish I could have taken them for her.

Here's a recent pic that I know the grandparents will enjoy!

Bring on the Toys!

I thought I would post some pictures of our happy baby before she gets her 4 month shots today :( She's starting to play with toys as you can see. She can entertain herself in the exersaucer and swing for a good 15 minutes while I get things done (like write this blog). I need to remember not to use it as a babysitter.

Millie will have her own room in appr. 5 days. woo-hoo!

Why not

Hey friends and family,
I just submitted a photo of Millie on the channel, TLC. They were looking for cute pics and videos of babies to show between the hours of 2pm and 4pm on Fridays. So, I thought, WHY NOT! Be sure to watch for it!

Home is Near

Hooray! We're moving into a permanent residence on July 25th. The house is on-post. Big backyard, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, newly renovated with oak cabinets and updated appliances. The other night I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about paint colors. I'm so excited!!! Stay tuned for our new address.

Turtles and Hippos

Most of us experienced a rainy fourth of July weekend, but, during that little bit of sunshine, we took a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. Millie got to see the hippo, turtle, flamingo and penguin exhibits.

We spent some much needed time with Mia and GrandDaddy Morris, Aunt Katie and Kevin, and Aunt Meg and Uncle Leo. Just like Aunt Katie says, "There's one thing for sure Millie is...loved."

She's developing a lot these days, as you would expect. She's laughing tons, grasping/holding onto objects like fingers and toys, sitting up with assistance, in the car seat she'll stare straight at her feet like she's never seen them before, and when held upright she'll put weight on her legs. Oh, and she likes to suck on her fist any chance she gets.

She's got her 4 month appointment on the 16th and we'll know her stats for sure then. From what I can tell, she's weighing in at 13.5 lbs and about 24.5" long.
